Very Minted for iPhone is on the App Store. The first version went up quietly on 10 September; today's 1.1 is the one worth telling you about, because it does the whole job.
What it does
- Photos in, listings out. Point the phone at something you want to sell. Mint reads it, writes the title, the description, the category and the price, and hands it back for you to check. Nothing goes anywhere until you say so.
- Worth it? Ask before you buy. Standing in a charity shop holding something you're not sure about — photograph it and Mint says what it's likely to sell for and what you'd want to pay. Thirty seconds, one hand, before the till.
- Built for a shop with bad wifi. Photos keep uploading if you lock the phone. Add items straight from the share sheet. A home-screen widget shows how many photos are waiting to become listings.
- The review queue, in full. Everything the review page does on the web, the app now does too: what needs attention and why, scheduling, the photos, a price drop, mark as sold, relist — and the eBay panel, where you check a listing, pick the category and fix a specific. If eBay refuses a listing, the app says why, in eBay's own words, rather than "queued" for ever.
- Publish to eBay from your pocket. Connect your own eBay account and send a finished listing straight there, category and specifics included.
- A nudge when it matters. A notification when something sells, and one when a batch of photos has finished turning into listings.
Same account, same numbers
Your Very Minted account is the one you already use on the web. List on the phone in the shop and finish on the laptop at home, or the other way round — sales, spend and profit read the same wherever you look.
Free to start
Starter is free on the phone exactly as it is on the web, with the same Mint listings each month. If you'd rather, Seller, Pro and the pay-as-you-go packs can be bought in the app through your Apple ID — and a plan you already have on the web is already there when you sign in.
Android
The Android app is built and is with Google for review. We'll post here the day it's out.
It needs iOS 17 or later.
That’s the news. Here’s the door.
