Sell with Very Minted
We sell wardrobes, not just designer labels.
A wardrobe full of decent clothes you don’t wear anymore, and no appetite for selling them all yourself. Hand it over once. We assess every piece and find the most suitable way to turn it into money — from everyday high-street favourites to premium and luxury pieces.
No photographing. No writing listings. No buyer messages. No parcel runs.
One collection. One assessment. The most suitable resale route for each item.
Sell to Us
We buy the everyday items
Accepted everyday pieces we can resell, bought outright at £1 per kilogram. Payment is on the accepted weight — weighed on trade-approved scales, with a photo of the reading — and once you accept the offer, it’s our stock and our problem.
We pay £1 for every kilogram of clothing we accept: 5kg is £5, 10kg is £10, 20kg is £20.
Sell for Me
We sell the better pieces for you
Pieces we expect to fetch around £50 or more — a Reiss dress, a Mulberry handbag — get photographed, listed, stored, sold and sent by us, and you take the larger share of what they make.
You don’t need to know which pieces are the valuable ones. Spotting them is our job, and the assessment shows you an estimated selling range for each before you commit.
How it works
- Tell us what you’ve gotThe form below. A guess and a couple of photos of the pile is plenty — we just need the size of the job.
- Get it to usBook a 15-minute drop-off slot, post it to us (you cover the postage), or ask about local collection — there’s a charge for collection, confirmed with you before anything is arranged.
- Your Wardrobe AssessmentEvery bag is weighed on arrival and every item reviewed. Within 5 working days (for intakes up to 10kg) you get one assessment: what we’ll buy at £1/kg, what we recommend selling for you with an estimated range for each piece, and anything we can’t accept.
- You accept, we get to workNothing happens until you accept the assessment. Sell to Us payment lands within 5 working days of acceptance. Sell for Me pieces go on sale, and you’re paid within 5 working days once each sale clears its return window.
You can also move any recommended Sell for Me piece to the £1/kg offer instead if you’d rather have the certainty — your call, made with the estimated range in front of you.
The money
Sell to Us — £1 per kg of accepted goods
Payment is on the weight we accept, not the total you hand over. Any adjustment — say for a piece that needs light preparation before resale — is shown on your assessment before you accept it, never after.
Sell for Me — your share of each sale
A piece that sells for £65 pays you £32.50.
A piece that sells for £300 pays you £180.
A piece that sells for £1,200 pays you £840.
Ordinary postage and packaging come out of our share, not yours. Your assessment shows an estimated selling range for each piece — the lower figure is your protected minimum, and we never sell below it without asking you first.
What we take — and what we don’t
Yes please
- Clothing (adult)
- Shoes
- Handbags
- Fashion accessories
- Designer jewellery and hallmarked precious-metal jewellery
- Designer and luxury watches — always individually valued, never bought by weight
Not for us
- Children’s clothing and kidswear
- Suits, underwear and wedding dresses
- Costume and high-street jewellery
- Tailored or altered items
- Bedding and household textiles
- Promotional and gift-with-purchase items, uniforms and personalised workwear
- Homeware, furniture, electricals, toys, books and other non-fashion items
We don’t take SHEIN, Temu, Romwe, Zaful or unbranded marketplace items whose origin can’t be established. Mainstream high-street brands — Zara, M&S, Next, Mango, River Island and the like — are welcome when they’re new with tags or like new.
Across everything: no stains, rips or marks. High-street pieces need to be new with tags or like new. Premium and designer pieces can show gentle wear. Swimwear, bodysuits, pyjamas, sleepwear and slippers only ever new with tags, hygiene stickers intact. Items with the brand or care label cut out can’t be accepted.
The questions worth asking first
You choose before anything is sent: collect it back from us, have it posted back at your cost, or have us donate wearable pieces and send the rest for textile recycling. Nothing of yours is ever quietly binned.
Up to 12 months. We manage the price along the way — never below your agreed minimum — and at the end anything unsold comes back to you, gets extended, or is donated: your choice. If you want a piece back mid-way after accepting the assessment, that’s a £25 per-item withdrawal fee, and it comes off sale within 48 hours.
Then don’t accept it — nothing transfers to us until you do. Collect the goods or pay the return postage, and no hard feelings.
We never knowingly list or sell counterfeit goods. Luxury pieces may need evidence — a receipt, serial numbers, original packaging — or professional authentication, which we’ll discuss with you before any cost is incurred.
We’re based in Luton and work across the surrounding Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire towns — Harpenden, St Albans, Tring, Berkhamsted and nearby. Postal intake works from anywhere in the UK.
We take on a limited number of wardrobes at a time, because real people do the work. If we can’t fit you in we’ll say so rather than leave you waiting.

Sell for other people
You’re already good at this. We’re building a programme that sends approved Very Minted resellers paid work — a wardrobe, a clearance, a shop’s overflow — with the split agreed before you accept anything. Put your name down and we’ll email you when it opens.
Or do it yourself, with the same tools
Everything above is us using Very Minted on your behalf. If you’ve got the time, doing it yourself keeps all of the money — which is cheaper, and the whole reason the product exists.
