Sell with Very Minted · questions answered
Where can I get more than 50p a kilo for old clothes?
Very Minted pays £1 a kilo for clothes it can resell, collected across Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and London or dropped off in Luton. That rate comes with standards: no stains, rips or marks, no fast fashion and no unbranded pieces, and if more than half of a load fails them, none of it is bought.
What it pays
| Rate | £1 for each kilo we accept. The weight we accept, not the weight you hand over |
|---|---|
| 10 kg accepted | £10 |
| 20 kg accepted | £20 |
| Better pieces | Bought one by one at a higher price, or sold for you: you keep 50% to 70% of the sale |
| Where | Collection across Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and London, or drop off in Luton. UK only |
| Collection charge | Confirmed when you enquire, before anything is arranged, and taken from your final amount. There is none if you drop off |
| Assessment | Within 5 working days of your clothes arriving, for up to 10 kg |
| Payment | Within 5 working days of you accepting the assessment |
Before you bag anything up
- We cannot take SHEIN, Temu, Romwe, Zaful or similar, or unbranded pieces. High-street brands such as Zara, M&S and Next are welcome when they are new with tags or like new.
- If more than half of what arrives fails the standards, nothing is bought, nothing is paid and no collection charge is made.
- You choose, before anything is sent, what happens to what we cannot accept: you collect it, we post it back at your cost, or we donate what is wearable and recycle the rest.
- If most of it is fast fashion, a clothes bank or a weigh-in shop is the better home for it, and we would rather tell you that now than after a wasted trip.
