One good piece

Think it’s worth more than £1 a kilo?

Photograph it and Mint gives a cautious estimate of what it should sell for. We make an offer on that, and one of us checks every offer before it reaches you.

What happens to your piece

Likely to sell for £15 to £40

We buy it

Half of Mint’s cautious estimate, up to £20. Paid within five working days of it arriving as described.

Likely to sell for more than £40

We sell it for you

We photograph it, list it, answer buyers and post it. You keep 50% to 70% of the sale price, and it stays yours until it sells.

Likely to sell for under £15

Not worth the postage

After a tracked parcel there would be little left for you. We say so before you post anything.

How it works

  1. Create a free account

It takes about a minute. It comes with five free checks.

  2. Photograph the piece

The whole piece, the brand and size labels, and any mark or flaw.

  3. See the estimate and our offer

Mint’s cautious estimate of the likely sale price, and what we would do on it.

  4. We check it, then you post it

One of us checks the offer, usually within a working day, and emails you the address and a reference.

What we take, and what we do not

  • Adult clothing, shoes, handbags and accessories.
  • No stains, rips or marks. High-street pieces need to be new with tags or like new.
  • No fast fashion, no unbranded pieces, no underwear and no children’s clothing.

The small print, in plain words

  • The estimate and the offer are estimates until one of us has checked them, and again until we have seen the piece itself.
  • You pay the postage. Use a tracked service and keep the receipt.
  • If the piece is not as described we send a revised offer, or return it at your cost.
  • Nothing is agreed until you accept, and you are not committed to anything by asking.
